Today, after me and my family were finished with the Van Gogh exhibit, we decided that we haven’t had enough. We went on to the European Art exhibit, and we were exposed to a wide array of beauty.
As we were observing paintings, and after a tiny discussion with my father, we noticed a rather old-looking lady, who obviously worked at the gallery, and she began to talk to us about this painting that I’ve posted. Yes, I saw this painting with my own eyes.
She explained to us that this is a painting of Job by Jan Lievens, and artist I have not been exposed to before. After introducing the form of painting, and other parts of the painting to be noticed, she asked if any of us knew the story of Job, and I was the only one who did, so I explained it, and we had a nice, hearty discussion on it.
Sometimes I really love discussing art.
